This Nixon Watch Box was designed over a decade ago and is still in circulation. If there is packaging that should be made truly ‘timeless’ it might as well be watch packaging. Paul Heslop sits down with Thomas Lee of Process Agency to breakdown this packaging design and why it has lasted so long.

Some of our key analysis of this box are as follows:

1. It’s a Minimalist box -we have (one outer box, one inner, very clever packaging that isn’t using a lot).

2. It’s really Cleverly engineer box (the eva shaped edges, modeled, glued and fit together perfectly).

3. Timeless (after all of these years, we still see these boxes being passed around and sold with watches).

4. It’s a Simple box that can be manufactured all for around $1.10 the outer, + inner multi density foam all for that price.
